Meeting Date 12/8/08, 7:00P.M. Charter Township Hall.
Present Supervisor, K. Acker, Clerk, P. Sutliff, Treasurer, T. Taylor, Trustees B. Paulis, C. Marks, J. Wellman and Dwight VanWinkle.
Board Meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Minutes of the November 10,2008 meeting were approved.
Public Comment: Robert Overholser and George Noon.
Ken Powers Building report. The year-end report was given. The kitchen has been removed from the building on the Cincy property on N. Sandstone Rd. he is now in compliance.
Updates given by Supervisor on Police Agreement and Tom Richmond.
Planning Commission report. Reopened Sebastian rezoning request, Discussion on Woodburners.
Treasurer Report given.
Motion made by T.Taylor supported by Jim Wellman to approve the request of the Bentleys to rezone property from AG-I to Suburban Residential. Roll Call 3 ayes 4 nays. Motion did not pass.
Motion made by T. Taylor supported by C. Marks to accept the resignation of J. Colby from the Board of Review and the Board of Appeals. Motion Carried
Motion made by P. Sutliff supported by C. Marks to accept the recommendation of the Supervisor and appoint Scott Ganton to the Board of Appeals to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of J. Colby. Roll Call 4 ayes 3 nays. Motion Carried
Motion made by C. Marks supported by D. Vanwinkle to accept the recommendation of the Supervisor and appoint E.Curtis, B, McCormick and Terry Langston to the Board of Review. Roll Call 6 ayes 1 nay. Motion Carried
Motion made by C. Marks supported by P. Sutliff to accept the recommendation of the Supervisor and appoint Greg Inosencio and Blaine Goodrich to the Planning Commission. Roll Call 5 ayes, 2 nays. Motion Carried
Motion made by P. Sutliff supported by C. Marks to accept the recommendation of the Supervisor and appoint Greg Inosencio and Byron Marks to the Board of Appeals. 4 ayes, 3 nays. Motion Carried
Motion made by T. Taylor supported by C. Marks to collect Summer taxes for Northwest, Western, Jackson County ISD and JCC for the same price per parcel as last year Northwest, Western and ISD $1.41 per parcel and JCC .18 cents per parcel. Motion Carried
Fire Report: 44 runs 16 E.M.S calls this month. 502 runs to date. Department of Homeland Security Grant of $43,000.00 for a new Compressor was approved. The Insurance Recovery Fund will be used for our share of the matching funds. The compressor will be installed in the northeast corner of the Fire Station. Steve Lane was presented with a Plaque for 40 years of service to the Department.
Police Report: 85 complaints (911) calls, 101 calls into the office and 17 walk-in complaints. Meeting will be held on December 18th to work on Budget for next year. There is $ 48,820.00 left in budget for the next three months. Jim Jenkins is filling in on Police Board for the Village until an appointment is made.
Discussion held on the cost for the Village of Parma to continue to do the Police Books.
Motion made by C. Marks supported by D. VanWinkle to pay the Building Department bills totaling $1,220.00 Motion Carried.
Motion made by C. Marks supported by J. Wellman to pay the prepaid bills totaling $470.57. Motion Carried
Motion made by C. Marks supported by D. VanWinkle to pay the General Fund bills totaling $38,163.16. Motion Carried
Public Comment: Terry Langston, George Noon and Robert Overholser.
